Cellular Immunology

Overview

Cellular immunology is a branch of immunology that examines the cellular components of the immune system. It focuses on the roles played by cells such as macrophages, B cells, and T cells in the body's defense against foreign organisms, including bacteria and viruses. Cellular immunology is an important area of research that is helping to improve the understanding of diseases such as cancer and autoimmune diseases. It has also been used in the development of vaccines and treatments for these conditions. Cellular immunology is also used in basic research to further our understanding of the immune system, and how it interacts with the environment.
