Biography

Professor Long Chen, PhD, is a Professor at the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, China Region Research Centre, Taizhou, Jiangsu province. He received his doctoral education from institutions including Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, Jilin University, and Wuhan University of Science and Technology. His research focuses on electrophysiology, arrhythmia, heart failure, and calcium transient mechanisms in cardiac function. His most-cited work, published in 2020, elucidates the mechanism by which increased sarcoplasmic/endoplasmic reticulum calcium ATPase 2a activity underlies the positive inotropic effect of ivabradine. Professor Chen has authored more than 80 research articles and books, and serves as an editorial member of several reputed journals including Forensic Medicine and Anatomy Research and NESSA Journal of Forensic Sciences and Crime.
