Overview

Plant Biology is the scientific study of the structure and function of plants. Through this field, we are able to determine the different processes that allow plants to survive, grow and reproduce. Plant Biochemistry and Physiology are subfields of Plant Biology, which focus on the chemical reactions, metabolic processes, and the physical and physiological properties of plants. Through these studies, we understand how plants interact with their environment, and how plants respond to external cues and stimuli. Plant Biology is an important field of study and has practical applications in crop yields, resource conservation, and the development of new medicines and compounds.
