Overview
Diarrhoea is a common condition in which a person passes loose, watery stools multiple times a day. It is caused by a variety of factors including infection, food intolerance, and medications. Diarrhoea can be dangerous if not treated as it can lead to dehydration, increase in salt and mineral loss, and malnutrition. Diarrhoea is treated with fluids, electrolytes, and other medications to help prevent dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, and nutrient deficiencies. Treatment of diarrhoea is important to prevent further health complications and ensure speedy recovery.
