Joint Disease is an umbrella term for a range of conditions that cause pain and inflammation in the joints and/or cartilage. Common examples include osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Left untreated, joint disease can lead to progressive joint damage, disability, and reduced quality of life. Early diagnosis and effective treatment can help slow the progression of joint disease, reduce symptoms, and improve joint function. Treatment options may include medication, physical therapy, lifestyle modifications, activities of daily living, and in some cases, surgery.
