Biography

Dr. Chol Hee Jung is a Research Fellow and Bioinformatician at the Victorian Life Sciences Computation Initiative (VLSCI) in Carlton, Victoria, Australia. He earned his PhD from The University of Queensland and has contributed to over 25 indexed publications in computational biology and bioinformatics. His most influential work, "Smoking and blood DNA methylation: an epigenome-wide association study and assessment of reversibility" (2019), has been cited 81 times and exemplifies his research focus on epigenomics and the molecular impacts of environmental exposures. Dr. Jung's expertise lies in applying computational methods to large-scale biological datasets to advance understanding of gene regulation and disease mechanisms.
