Overview

It uses a semiotic approach, looking at the signs and symbols used in communication, and how they can be interpreted and adapted. Biosemiotics can be applied to the study of biological messages, to understanding the behavior of organisms, and to the field of evolutionary biology. It is an important tool for scientists in understanding the evolution of species and their interactions.
