Overview

Blood Banks are vital medical facilities that store and distribute blood to hospitals, medical clinics and other institutions for transfusions. They also play an important role in the collection, preservation and testing of donated blood and its components, such as plasma and red blood cells. Blood Banks help to ensure a safe and reliable supply of blood for healthcare providers and their patients. Additionally, they help reduce the risk of transmitting infectious diseases by testing all donated blood for infectious agents such as HIV and Hepatitis B and C. Blood Banks also provide the opportunity to donate blood for those willing to help others in need. In this way, Blood Banks play a crucial role in saving lives.
