Overview
Hemodilution is a medical technique in which a patient's blood volume is reduced by removing some of the red blood cells and replacing them with alternative fluids, such as saline or plasma. This is often done before a surgical procedure to reduce the risk of blood loss. It has also been used in treating various medical conditions such as anemia, heart attack, stroke, and infection. Hemodilution is a simple and cost-effective way to improve patient safety and well-being, and its importance should not be underestimated.
