Biography

Dr. Roohollah Noori is a Professor at the Nanjing Institute of Geography and Limnology in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China. He earned his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Tehran in 2012, following an M.Sc. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Tarbiat Modares University and a B.Sc. in Irrigation and Drainage Engineering from Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman. His research focuses on water quality assessment, groundwater pollution source apportionment, and the application of multivariate statistical and machine learning techniques to environmental modeling in river systems and aquifers. With over 64 indexed publications, his most-cited work is a critical review on the National Sanitation Foundation Water Quality Index (2019), which has received 214 citations.
