Biography
Diogo Moura is affiliated with the University of Coimbra, Portugal, where his research focuses on endoscopy, surgery, and gastrointestinal interventions, including endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). He received training at the Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo and Bariatric Endoscopy Live Global. His work encompasses systematic reviews and meta-analyses on endoscopic and surgical treatments for conditions such as gastric outlet obstruction, peptic ulcer bleeding, early gastric cancer, obesity interventions including intragastric balloon therapy, and complications following bariatric surgery. His most-cited publication, a 2019 randomized controlled trial on EUS-guided coil plus cyanoacrylate versus conventional cyanoacrylate for gastric varices, has received 70 citations, and he has authored over 42 indexed publications.
