Overview
Peptides are molecules composed of two or more amino acids connected together by chemical bonds. They are important elements in cells and play a role in multiple biological processes. Peptides also have significant application in drug design, such as for the development of therapeutic proteins for cancer and other diseases. They can be used to modulate cell signaling within the body, creating therapeutic effects. Peptides are also used in biochemistry and molecular biology research, helping to produce hormones and enzymes, or to study an organism's behavior.
