Overview
Polymerization is a process in which multiple molecules combine to form large molecules known as polymers. It is a highly significant process with a wide range of applications across many industries. It is used in the manufacture of plastics and rubbers, paper, coatings, adhesives, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and textiles. Polymerization can also be used to create new materials such as semiconductors and smart materials. The process has also been used in the development of biodegradable materials, which can be used to reduce the environmental impact of manufacturing.
