Overview
Mapping from Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) is a technique that uses UAVs to create high-resolution, accurate maps of large areas. The use of UAVs makes mapping faster and more cost effective compared to traditional surveying methods, as the UAVs can cover large areas quickly and can cover physical features such as hills and canyons that can be difficult to map from the ground. Mapping from UAVs is used in many applications such as geospatial research, agricultural monitoring, disaster response, urban planning, and more. It is also a valuable tool for photogrammetry, which is used to measure distances and angles between objects in an image.
