Examples of mood disorders include major depressive disorder, persistent depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, and seasonal affective disorder. Mental health mood disorders can cause a range of symptoms, such as low energy, apathy, changes in appetite and sleep, difficulty focusing, and loss of interest in activities. Recognizing the signs of a mood disorder, seeking help, and engaging in treatment can improve quality of life, enable individuals to reach their goals, and build healthy relationships.
