Biography
Dr. Duo Zhang is an Assistant Professor at the University of Georgia, Augusta, GA, United States. He received his PhD from the Chinese Academy of Sciences Shanghai Institute of Nutrition and Health and also studied at Nankai University. Dr. Zhang has been actively involved in basic research since 2007, focusing on the critical role of microRNA (miRNA) and their potential as novel biomarkers and therapeutics. His work includes significant contributions to extracellular vesicles for therapeutic cargo delivery, with his 2024 publication on this topic cited 381 times among his 32+ indexed publications. He has served as a reviewer for various international and national journals in the field of microRNA and has received various academic awards throughout his career.
