Biography

Dr. Andrei Alimov, PhD, serves as Head of Laboratory at the Research Centre for Medical Genetics in Moscow, Russia. He received his education at the Karolinska Institutet and the Engelhardt Institute of Molecular Biology of the Russian Academy of Sciences. His distinguished career includes numerous fellowships and awards, including the State stipend for young scientists from the Russian Academy of Science (1994), EMBO fellowship (1994), Karolinska Institutet and Wenner-Gren fellowships (1995–1996), and the Söderberg fellowship for postdoctoral research at KI, Sweden (2003). Dr. Alimov has authored over 50 publications in his field, with more than 12 indexed works, including his most-cited publication on prediction of distant metastases in kidney cancer patients based on gene expression and methylation analysis (2023), and has participated in more than 20 international and national scientific meetings and conferences.
