Biography

Dr. Mudasir Bashir Gugjoo, PhD, serves as Assistant Professor cum Junior Scientist at Sher-E-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology Kashmir, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India. He completed his doctoral research at the Indian Veterinary Research Institute, focusing on the evaluation of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs) and growth factors in collagen and laminin scaffolds for articular cartilage repair in rabbits. His research expertise encompasses the isolation, culturing, characterization, and differentiation of MSCs, with applications in cartilage defects, bone defects, myocardial infarction, and clinical conditions such as chronic wounds and hindquarter paresis. Dr. Gugjoo's work extends to biomaterials, hydrocele, and nanocement, and his most-cited publication, "Advances in therapeutic and managemental approaches of bovine mastitis: a comprehensive review" (2021), has received 293 citations. He has authored over 27 indexed publications and has established reference ranges for radiographic, electrocardiographic, echocardiographic, and biochemical parameters in Labrador retrievers.
