Call for PapersInternational Journal of Oxygen Compounds
IJO publishes original research on the chemistry, physics, and applications of oxygen-containing compounds spanning metal oxides and ceramics, peroxides and superoxides, oxygenated organic molecules, reactive oxygen species, electrochemical oxygen processes, atmospheric and aqueous oxygen chemistry, and industrial oxidation technologies.
Journal Scope and Mission
The International Journal of Oxygen Compounds provides a dedicated venue for research centered on the synthesis, characterization, reactivity, and application of oxygen-containing compounds. We welcome studies across inorganic, organic, physical, analytical, biological, and materials chemistry that advance understanding of oxygen compound behavior at molecular, mesoscopic, and macroscopic scales. Our interdisciplinary focus bridges fundamental oxygen chemistry with practical applications in energy, environment, materials, and life sciences. We accept original research articles, comprehensive reviews, methods papers, and short communications.
Our scope encompasses metal oxides and oxide ceramics including perovskites, spinels, and layered structures used in electronics, catalysis, and energy storage; peroxides, superoxides, and hyperoxides that drive oxidation chemistry and radical processes; oxygenated organic compounds such as alcohols, aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids, ethers, esters, and epoxides central to synthesis and pharmaceuticals; reactive oxygen species including singlet oxygen, hydroxyl radicals, and superoxide anions in chemical and biological contexts; oxygen electrochemistry for batteries, fuel cells, and electrolyzers; atmospheric oxygen chemistry and ozone photochemistry affecting air quality and climate; aqueous oxygen dynamics and dissolved oxygen processes in environmental and industrial systems; and selective oxidation reactions that underpin chemical manufacturing worldwide.
